Buy! Buy! Buy! 4

As of October 18, 2016, Silver was at $17.60 per ounce. In the past 40 years, silver has peaked twice to around $50 per ounce in 1980 and 2011. Shortly after peaking, the price would crash. 2016 started off around $14 per ounce and would peak at $20.71 on August 2nd, make it back to $20 twice in September and dive in early October. In my opinion, now is the time to buy. Who knows when silver will hit $50 again, but since it is currently down 2/3rds.

Here is an example of a short set of MS-64 Walking Liberty Half Dollar which I have started working on. Currently, I only have 3 of the 20, 1943, 1945-S and 1946-S, but am looking to continue collecting the remaining 17 when I can. The table below shows the prices of the last 20 Walking Liberty Half Dollar from 2015, 2016 and October, 2016. The source of these amounts came from the Numismedia Fair Market Value Guide. Notice between 2015 and 2016, the total price of the 20 Half Dollars have gone down over $200.

1941P  $ 73  $ 58  $ 58

I think it’s time to buy silver coins. How about you? Something to consider before the price goes up again.

I agree with you Kevin, now does seem like the best time to buy silver. It looks to be a worth while investment indeed.

Thank you for these numbers, you obviously did your research. With the way the economy is now, it’s always good to have a backup. You can’t put all your eggs in one basket.

I’m definitely going to consider getting me some silver now 🙂

I am looking at investing in some coins as the value of pound takes a tumble due to the Brexit decision.

I was initially looking at Gold coins but this article is suggesting that Silver coins may be a good option too.

I know gold has rallied a little this year. Do you think Silver has more room to grow too?

Hey Fairweather! Gold would be real good to look into if you have the money to invest in it. I’m also looking into gold, but silver is easier to get right now. I think gold is still over $1,200 an ounce here in the US, which is also low.
